My cousin Pedro and Filipa got married in February in Lisbon. It was a wonderful sunny day, and a very nice wedding. Pedro and Filipa (who had to speak through her vail) gave a very heartfelt speech in church and then treated everyone to an all day reception in the hills around Lisbon. It was a wonderful day, and as well as meeting most of my relatives, I also met some old friends from Macau whom I had not seen for years!
My brother Lourenço was the master photographer, ably aided by Manuel and Inês. They are lots of artful photos!
At the Church Some pictures taken at the church, just after the wedding... Look at the smile in Pedro's face! Congratulations!!!
In the Garden After the ceremony, we all drove over to a nice "Quinta" where the reception and dinner were waiting for us. But first, we had a chance to enjoy the garden, and Pedro and Filipa got a chance to take a picture with each one of their guests.
At the Dinner Table A very tasty meal, good conversation, and a speech by Pedro's mother, Tia Teresa, followed. Everything went according to plan, although a couple of photographers were seen arguing for an "exclusive". High society weddings are always like this!
Into the Night... After dinner, a lot more talking and some dancing to cap of the day. Pedro, still smiling, brought has all some souvenirs in a basket. A candle for the girls, and some traditional "Licor Beirão" for the boys.
