Point Pelee is a sandbar jutting into Lake Erie and is the southermost point in Canada. We spent a chilly weekend there kayaking around the marshland and in the lake, which is so big it is easy to pretend you are facing the sea. May is a good time for watching bird migrations and we saw quite a few birds, including a hummingbird.
