Trip to Traverse City

We went up to Traverse City to see the leafs turn in North Michigan. It seems that the leafs turned a little later than usual this year, and we ended up seeing a lot of green, and not quite so much red, orange and yellow. It was still a relaxing trip and a good way to charge our batteries.

Leelanau State Park and Pyramid Point Trail We stayed at the very friendly Warwickshire Inn in Traverse City and then made our way up to Northpoint for some excellent (fabulous! unique!) sandwiches. We then went for a nice hike through Leelenau State Park and saw the nearby lighthouse. At the end of the day, we hiked Pyramid Point Trail, for some nice views of the lake and a tasty wild apple. Driving Home The second day was a little more restful. We enjoyed a lazy brunch and drove along the coastline. We stopped at a pumpkin farm and got three pumpkins for Halloween (mother pumpkin, father pumpkin and baby pumpkin). Since we were being very laid back, there are fewer pictures to show.
